Data and privacy
What Puntavia records, what it never records, where it is kept and what you can do with all of it.
What is recorded
The name of the active app, its window title, and whether there was any activity (keyboard or mouse) in each interval. That is what the hours, the breaks and the daily write-up are built from. Screenshots are off by default and only happen if the company turns them on. Even then they can stay on the computer: there is a mode where the text is read on the machine itself and the image is deleted right away.
What is never recorded
Keystrokes, the content of emails, chats or documents, location, camera, microphone and personal files. Puntavia also never blocks or limits anything on the computer.
Blocked words
The company keeps a list: if a word appears in the app name or the window title, the title is replaced with «[hidden]» and no screenshot is taken. Personal banking and password managers are on the list from day one.
Where and for how long
On servers in the European Union. Each company has its own database in a separate file — there is no shared table with a «company» column. Screenshots are deleted after 60 days and records after a year, unless the company sets a different period.
Who else sees the data
Only the AI provider, Anthropic, and only the text needed to write the summary: app names and window titles, plus screenshots if they are enabled. They are not used to train models. Nobody else receives this data, and it is never sold or shared.
Your rights
From the dashboard the owner can download everything held about their company as one file (database, settings and screenshots) and delete all of it for good. Deletion is real: the whole folder goes, not a flag in a table.
Template notice for your team
The employer is required to inform their staff. This text can be copied as is; have your advisor look it over.
We have installed Puntavia on work computers — a working time recording tool. It notes when work starts and ends, how long breaks are and which programs are used, to meet the daily record-keeping requirement. It does not read the content of emails, chats or documents, does not log keystrokes and does not take screenshots. Anyone can pause the recording from the app icon. Data is stored on EU servers and can be reviewed on request from [contact].
